Bridger Bowl

Known for the large, snow filled bowls within the ski area, Bridger Bowl, just outside of Bozeman is a favorite of local and traveling skiers. Its wide open terrain and varied landscapes make it great for downhill and cross country skiing. You can find the Bridger Bowl on the eastern slope of the Bridger Mountain Range.

Rafting Attractions

Race down the roaring rivers that surround Bozeman mountain. With a variety of rafting companies to choose from, you can find a guide that matches your idea of adventure as you raft down the whitewater rivers of the Gallatin Range.

Museum of the Rockies

Partnered with Montana State University and an affiliate of the Smithsonian, the Museum of the Rockies is one of the largest collections of fossils in the region, and a leading research institution. The MOR is known for its expansive collection of fossils, including full-scale t-rex skeletons, as well as other large dinosaurs. With an ever-changing line up of exhibits, a planetarium that plays a suite of shows, lecture series, seminars, and classes, there are a million different learning opportunities at the MOR. This museum is a member of the Association of Science-Technology Centers Travel Passport Program, offering its members reciprocal membership with hundreds of other institutions.

Yellowstone National Park

The world’s first national park, Yellowstone was found in 1872 to highlight its incredible collection of active thermal features, stunning landscapes, and herds of wild bison. Today, this park is considered to be one of the jewels of the National Park Service, and is visited by millions of people from all over the world every year. From day-hikes to backpacking, or even picnicking and everything in between, you’ll find a way to love this park, no matter your sense of adventure. Located just 90 minutes from the heart of Bozeman.

Palisades Falls

Follow a short hiking trail through a beautiful mountain forest and you can reach a captivating 80 foot waterfall that was created by prehistoric lava flow. Palisade falls is near the Hyalite Reservoir, which is just south of Bozeman. 

Big Sky Montana

No matter your skiing ability, you’ll find a run that you find fun at Big Sky ski area. The park hosts more than 300 runs across its expansive 5,800 acres. The longest run, Lone Peak, reaches 11,166 feet in elevation and is six miles long. With a broad palette of terrain types, and 23 lifts, you’ll always feel like you have the area to yourself.
